What to Bring

Below are lists of what is provided with your cottage and what you should bring with you.

What is included:

  • Barbecue and propane
  • Barbecue lighter
  • Pots and pans
  • Baking sheets – Please do not use sharp knives/utensils on these
  • Coffee maker (and filters)
  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • Microwave
  • Cooking and serving tools/utensils
  • Dishes (plates, bowls, cups, mugs)
  • Eating utensils
  • Oven mitts
  • Milk jug (for bagged milk)
  • Pitcher (for juice or water)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Scissors
  • Can opener
  • Dish soap (NOT dishwasher tabs)
  • Hand soap
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Starter roll (or two) of toilet paper
  • Zippered mattress encasements
  • Fans – one for each bedroom!
  • A kitchen garbage bag – not for other uses
  • Bathroom garbage bag – not for other uses
  • A recycling center in each cottage to make recycling easier
  • Outdoor picnic table at each cottage

What you will need to bring:

  • Pillows, sheets, blankets – Fitted bottom sheets are required to cover the mattress encasements
  • Bath towels
  • Beach towels
  • Hand towels
  • Dish towels
  • Dish cloths
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels/napkins – the paper towels we provide are for cottage cleaning ONLY
  • Kitchen garbage bags – if you will need more than the one provided
  • Beach/camping chairs
  • *Dishwasher tabs – IF you are staying in Cedar

Additional items you may need:

  • Laundry or garbage bags to take dirty/wet clothing or towels home – garbage bags provided are for garbage only
  • Added mattress protection if there is a risk of wetting/soiling the bed
  • Food storage items – containers, cling wrap, foil etc.
  • Boat trailer lock if bringing a boat

Don’t forget…

  • Life jackets
  • Fishing gear
  • Bug spray
  • Sunscreen
  • First Aid items
  • Indoor games and books
  • Outdoor games
  • Sports equipment (baseball gloves and balls, volleyball, basketball, soccer ball…)
  • Beach toys (there may be some available to borrow)

Items to remember for a winter stay:

  • Winter outerwear – coats, snow pants, hats, mitts, snow boots, etc.
  • Slippers or indoor shoes
  • Toboggans!
  • Snow shoes
  • Skates
